Penny
Golden Retriever Mix
Penny is a one-year-old retriever mix who showed incredible strength from the very beginning. She was found curled up inside a hay bale on a farm, protecting her newborn puppies while scared and alone. Despite everything she’d been through, Penny never gave up on her little family.

Thanks to caring hearts and quick action, Penny and her pups were brought into the Big Paws rescue and placed in a safe, loving foster home. At first, Penny was nervous and unsure, but with time, patience, and gentle encouragement, she learned to trust. Soon, her sweet and playful personality began to shine through.

Penny, and all of her puppies, have been adopted into wonderful forever homes. Today, she’s living her best life with a family that adores her, and she’ll never have to feel alone again.

Jude
Husky Mix
Jude is a 1.5-year-old husky with a story that started on the side of a road — but thanks to compassion and community, it now has a happy ending. As a puppy, Jude was one of four siblings found abandoned by a kind woman who knew they needed help. She brought them to Big Paws, where they received the love, medical care, and safe shelter every puppy deserves.

Jude thrived in our care and quickly captured hearts with his playful husky charm. After being adopted into a wonderful forever home, Jude’s journey with Big Paws didn’t stop there — his adoptive mom now fosters for us, helping save even more dogs just like him.
Because of people like you, dogs like Jude get a second chance and go on to inspire even more happy endings.

Oscar
Schnauzer Mix
Oscar is a 4-year-old schnauzer mix who needed someone to believe in him. He found himself at a crowded county shelter, scared and unsure. His fear caused him to snap at people, making it hard for the shelter staff to place him in a home — but we knew he just needed a little extra help and a lot of patience.

Thanks to our dedicated trainers at Big Paws, Oscar was brought into our program where he could feel safe, build trust, and learn how to navigate the world with confidence. Over time, he blossomed into the loving dog we knew he could be.
Now adopted by a wonderful family, Oscar is finally living the life he deserves — one filled with care, compassion, and second chances.

Frog
Hound Mix
Frog is a 7-year-old basset hound with big ears, a gentle heart. He came to Big Paws from an owner who wasn’t able to meet his needs, and it was clear he needed help. Frog was struggling with itchy, irritated skin and required special medical care and food to start feeling better.

With the right treatment and lots of love, Frog’s health — and his spirit — made a full comeback. Soon, he was ready for a fresh start, and that’s exactly what he got. Frog is now happily adopted, and his best friend is the family’s young daughter. They’re inseparable, and his days are now filled with snuggles, playtime, and the comfort of knowing he’s finally home.
