Thomas started his evolution as a dog trainer in 2015 when he found his best friend and canine companion Jackson as a little garage puppy. He fell in love with training Jackson,  and sought out a place to work with more dogs. For the next 5 years he worked full time in an animal shelter in Southeast Missouri, helping them achieve No-Kill status by focusing on dog enrichment and making better connections with adopters. In 2020 he moved to Wyoming to work on an animal sanctuary
