Subaru Loves Pets Month: Celebrating Saving Lives with Adventure Subaru 🚗🐾

October is one of our favorite months of the year — and not just because of the cooler weather, pumpkin treats, and dog costumes (though we love those too!).It’s Subaru Loves Pets Month, and for over six years, our friends at Adventure Subaru have partnered with us to help change countless dogs’ lives across Northwest Arkansas.

This partnership is more than community support — it’s a lifeline. Through Subaru’s Loves Pets initiative, Adventure Subaru has become one of our most consistent allies in rescue, adoption, and animal welfare. Together, we’ve helped hundreds of dogs move from uncertain beginnings to forever homes filled with love, safety, and second chances.

🎃 Monster Mash Adoption Bash: A Howling Good Time

Earlier this month, we celebrated Subaru Loves Pets Month in true Big Paws fashion with our Monster Mash Adoption Bash! Our adoptable dogs showed up in their Halloween best — superheroes, bumblebees, and even a hot dog or two.

The event was filled with smiles, tail wags, and happy endings. Several dogs went home with their new families that day, and many more met their future adopters. It was the perfect reminder of why we do what we do — and how community events like this bring people and pets together in the best possible way.

🎁 Donation Drive: Happening All Month Long

If you missed the Monster Mash, there’s still time to get involved! Adventure Subaru is hosting a donation drive throughout October to benefit Big Paws of the Ozarks. Donations of food, treats, toys, cleaning supplies, and leashes help us care for dogs currently in rescue and prepare them for adoption.

You can drop off donations directly at Adventure Subaru. Every gift — big or small — helps us give these dogs a chance to heal, learn, and find their forever homes.

💙 $10,000 Grant Through the ASPCA & Subaru Partnership

This year, Adventure Subaru’s partnership with the ASPCA also resulted in an incredible $10,000 grant for Big Paws of the Ozarks.These funds are helping us get even more dogs adoption-ready — providing vital medical care, behavior support, and resources for foster families.
